FriMUN
Fribourg Model United Nations
What is FriMUN ?

Fribourg Model United Nations (FriMUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda. The participants role-play as diplomats representing a nation or NGO in a simulated session of a committee of the United Nations, such as the Security Council or the General Assembly. Participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems.
Broaden your horizon
Our main goal is to become an interactive form of education in which students can learn and experience basic principles of diplomacy and improve their debate skills. Students will be challenged to spontaneously defend their country’s national policy, balancing those interests with the needs of the international community, while confronting the boundaries of international negotiation and of their own personal belief.
